- Summer (March–June): Best for sightseeing, adventure sports & trekking
- Monsoon (July–September): Risky due to landslides; avoid if possible
- Winter (October–February): Perfect for snowfall, skiing & honeymoon trips
- Peak season: May–June & December–January
- Off-season: February–April (cheaper stays, fewer crowds)
How to Reach
- By Train: Nearest railway station - Joginder Nagar (163 km) but not well connected. Better option: Chandigarh or Pathankot.
- By Road: Overnight Volvo buses from Delhi, Chandigarh & Shimla.
- By Air: Nearest airport - Bhuntar (50 km) (limited flights, better to take a bus/taxi from Chandigarh).
- Solang Valley: Paragliding, skiing & zorbing
- Rohtang Pass: Snow adventure & scenic beauty (closed in winter) Check Rohtang Pass permits online (closed on Tuesdays)
- Hadimba Temple: Ancient wooden temple in a cedar forest
