Weather Awareness:

  • Kashmir experiences extreme winters. Check the forecast and pack warm layers, especially from October to March.
Permit Requirements:
  • Some areas like Gulmarg or Sonamarg may require travel permits — always carry valid ID proof.
Connectivity Issues:
  • Mobile networks can be limited in remote areas. BSNL and Jio work best. Wi-Fi may not always be reliable.
Cash Over Cards:
  • Carry enough cash as card payments and ATMs may not be available everywhere, especially in high-altitude towns.
